Nikon S205 Digital Camera

The Nikon S205 Coolpix digital camera is an entry level, consumer grade point and shoot type digital camera released by the Nikon Corporation in 2009. It has a 12 MP CCD sensor and a fully retractable lens capable of up to 4x optical zoom. There is also a 4x digital zoom and hence the combined zoom is equivalent to 16x. The Nikon S205 digital camera has a built in memory of 50 MB which is good enough for some pictures but for video recording, a memory card is needed. The supported memory card formats are the SD (Secure Digital) and SDHC (Secure Digital, High Capacity) and with storage capacities of up to 32 GB.
The images are stored in the JPEG format at a maximum resolution of up to 4000 x 3000 pixels. Video quality of the Nikon S205 digital camera is standard definition i.e. 640 x 480 pixels at 30 frames per second. The videos are stored in Motion JPEG or AVI movie, while the sound is stored in WAV format. The ISO settings are adjustable from ISO 80 to ISO 3200 which enables good quality shots in a wide range of lighting conditions.
